So I have been using Keyword Winner 1.0 for a while now. All I can say is that I am massively impressed! There is a new version coming out in March 2011, and it is supposed to be better on all but one aspect….

I am glad that I picked up this nifty little plugin. I have hit GREEN (the plugin’s version of a pot of gold) on many posts that I have used it on, on other sites than here mostly. This update is only yellow….but hey, not everything can be perfect.

I strive to play with each title of my posts for a couple of things. I want some strong keywords, and low competition helps. This way I am bound to hit a higher page in the big G. The higher the SERP, the better. This tool is just one of many that should be in your arsenal.

So I was trolling the Warrior Forums and ran across the 100K Adesnse Blueprint . I read through a bunch of comments and decided it was worth it to take a look…

So I jumped on it. I will be looking in depth into the program and updating my findings. I figured that if I even earned my money back, there has to be something in there that can help me (and you) in the whole process of IM and making a decent income online. If there is even a chance of flipping a site for half of the price listed on the sales page, then WOW!

I decided that I would pop out a quick post about this AWESOME plugin for Wordpress.  What it does is it researches the keywords in your title, then gives you suggestions on how to tweak your title to include the best possible words to include….thus giving you a great ranking. 

It is quite easy to use, and it goes through and installs very easily.  For a small investment, it can help your posts rank very well.  I think it is great for affiliate marketers, as it will give you a bit of an edge on trying to rank for those competitive terms.  It is nice that it is a clickbank product, so it carries a 60 day money back promise, but I am thinking that you probably won’t go back to return it once you start to see the rankings that you can acheive.  It should help you get some great new traffic to your site, and we all know that traffic is king!

Paul Teague and Chris Freville have just released a new program.  Both of them are well respected IM people, but combined….now there is a powerhouse.

The Auto Cash Funnel system is a hybrid. I originally looked at just Paul Teague’s portion of be project, and I was quite impressed.

Through some mentoring that I had in the past, I was told to build a list.  Having a websites, I have anyone’s basic email opt-in boxes on them, with minimal results in the long run.  I have tried some pay per click to drive people to my list and affiliate offers (not advisable).  Then I started being involved in quite a few list building events.  I felt I finally had the system down.  I entered as a contributor to expand my list, but it was pretty much autopilot for me once I got registered.  I never realized the full potential of how quickly I could go through and expand my list in a few short days, with a little help.

If I was just starting out with my email list at zero, I would need to see this program!  You carefully walk people through the ins and outs so they can be a more successful, on an accelerated pace.  Even for those who have a good list going, why not get more out of your opportunities?

Hello all! I am back from the dead….errr….the research labs. I really have been doing lots of it. I have done something that my mentors would yell at me for. I have been silent.

BUT, I did it for a good reason.

I have been spending a ton of time looking at emails, promotions, good tactics, bad tactics, scams, solid programs, marketers who are on the level, marketers who are promoting the dreaded snake oil.

I decided to take a different look at everything to decide the best path to follow, and to recommend. So, I haven’t ingnored everything my mentors have taught me.

Soon, I will be pushing out the good, the bad, and the ugly of the current scene. I’ll update you on what I have found that works, or not.

So in this world of the Internet….there are millions of property (websites) already taken. There are millions to be created. The sky is the limit. So let’s discuss the different ways to get found! I am going to toss a few out, with examples, then let’s see where this goes. I would love to hear what works for you!

Referral Traffic
This is a great offline AND online model. Think about it. You know a guy who does X. Your friend needs X done. You tell them about it. Guy does X for you and you are happy (hopefully). You then tell other people who need X done about this guy. His business expands. That is a great offline model that a friend of mine uses. He recently came over and did some home repairs for my house. I have since told other people about it. If they need something, I give them his number. Easy business for him. Online is the same way. Your website has, let’s say, a video on how to add a paypal button to a page to sell something. I need to know how to do it. I find out about your page, use it, and hopefully share this information with others. Not a bad gig.

Banner Traffic
There are 2 different ways this happens. You can have people who you are friends with post the banners on their pages that link to your site or offer. Awesome. FREE ADVERTISING = GOOD STUFF. Hopefully people click on the banner to come check it out. OR, you could do a PPC campaign (sometimes the right step, but often a way to empty your pockets if you are not careful). Place your ad in the right locations, people click, you pay, but you have traffic.

Giveaways
A preferred method of many people is a giveaway. After all, we all love something for free….right? You give me a free ebook, I like it, I come to see what else you have to tell me via an embedded link or autoresponder message. Easy way to get lots of traffic…but not always targeted and responsive. I have built an email list this way. Some people have built lists that are HUGE this way – and there will be a great product in the fall about this too….I already previewed it, and can’t wait for the final product to emerge.

Selling a Product
Create a product, get a site and some JVs. They mail out for you and VOILA. Traffic. This is a great situation for you and the JVs, since hopefully everyone is making some financial gains, but also you gain traffic.

Forum Posting
Free help for others is a great way to help drive traffic to you. In your signature line on your posts, add a link. People see it, chekc out your link if interested, and you get some fresh new traffic. Hopefully they return! This type of traffic costs you just your time and knowledge.

Google Love
Your keywords are just that….KEY! Getting noticed by Google is an important step. I have one website that is moving up in Google, and because of it, I am noticing an increase in profits each and every month. Learning SEO is a HUGE process, but picking up tips and tricks along the way is a helpful thing! I recently took a business who’s webpage didn’t show up in the first 500 results when doing a search for a major related term. A little bit of this and that, and now they are within the top 40 in under 4 days. As I tweak things a bit more, they should move up more.

Soon, I will be posting more ideas along the way….including a great example of viral videos and websites (do you remember the Hamster Dance?)
So what works for you? What doesn’t work? If you were talking with someone who is just starting out, what would you suggest and why? How about a conversation with a more seasoned online person…..what would you say to them?

He is right.
How many times do we start something, or look at something and say “if I had only” or “hindsight is 20/20″ etc. I could have reviewed that product and helped out more people. Or – why did I push that product, it really turned out to be a dud.

The solution? The closest thing to a magic bullet to get the traffic, response, and revisits that we all want.

How do we get there? HARD WORK.

Right now I am working on a few different projects, but seemingly having problems concentrating on just one.

Refocus. Set Goals. Make a plan. Execute the plan. And “Stay on target.”

Situation:
June 5th: I entered a JV Giveaway. I upgraded to be able to add more gifts, some OTOs, and some text ads. I have had luck when this individual marketers name has been involved in the past, so this seemed like a great idea.
++side note – these same gifts were approved in ALL other giveaways that I have ever entered with them…including other giveaways by this guy++
June 7/8th: I receive 2 emails that 2 of my gifts are “on hold”.
Email 1:
We just reviewed your account and placed
your gift listing on HOLD stats because:
Why are you requiring an opt-in from your download page if they have already opted in from the squeeze page and the is no zip only a pdf for your free download link
Please update your listing as soon as
possible and we will review your account again.
Email 2:
We just reviewed your account and placed
your gift listing on HOLD stats because:
The download link for your free gift is a pdf it needs to be a .zip
Please update your listing as soon as
possible and we will review your account again.

Now, let me give you some info here as well:
1. In the control panel of the giveaway, it told me that one was in a zip and needed to be a pdf, and the other as stated above.
2. I immediately dropped a line to the help desk for clarification.
3. I begin contact with other Internet Marketers who are experiencing similar issues….and no one is getting a response. One of them is a bigger name in the JV Giveaway circles…and even runs his own.
4. My donwload pages have links and a few “bonus” offers to check out. There is NO opt in on those pages (I checked each and every one)

June 19th-
I send another message to the helpdesk regarding my initial request. I do this due to the timing of the giveaway start time, and I have not received ANY correspondance. I will admit, I was a bit peeved at no answer to my questions for clarification. The other two gifts that were submitted were a MMR product and webinar replay opportunity (one is a zip, and one was an online media viewing). I shot a very blunt email. I told them that it was ridiculous that I hadn’t gotten a reply and asked if they were going to fix the issue. Here is what I got in return:
No, this issue is to be fixed by YOU and not us.
We do not create the funnel nor the squeeze pages, but we do permit ones that are done correctly to be submitted.
Let us know when you have fixed the above problems.
I got this email just 7 minutes before the giveaway went live.
I then added a new support ticket. I asked about where in the terms of service the “rules” were posted. I asked to know why things were proceeding as they were…..
Here is what I got back:
All of your gift’s have either been approved or put on hold we have launched now so have fun promoting thank you and have a nice day. Also if you’ve fixed your gift’s accordingly then resubmit them please.

So I figure I am dealing with someone who is outsourced or perhaps the students of the BIG marketer who also appear on this giveaway. I send a message directly to the BIG named marketer, I also state that when checking through some of the links to gifts….some lead to pdf downloads. I got a response:

I understand how you might not appreciate being shown the correct way to market products online, as one could clearly be offended.

I have not seen any on the gifts being pdf

Now, I understand his reasoning from “paragraph” four on. “Paragraphs” one through three on the other hand – ENFURIATED ME!

How could this guy begin to “show” me how to market online – when his own response to customer support is in such an arrogant and disrespectful fashion. I am a paying customer to this guy and his 2 other partners. Did I pay to get disrespected…well that is how I am feeling right about now. If this is how he treats customers at this level, and he is a mentor/teacher to others, what is he teaching to his students?

I am not saying that I believe I know everything about Internet Marketing. I know that what I practice, I learned from well respected mentors, who have done well in IM. I am pretty sure that I learned one “right way” from them. I don’t pretend to think that their way is the only way. I guess there are a ton of people who are using a form of marketing and gifts for submission yo JV giveaways that will never be a “valid form of marketing”.

What do I do? NOTHING. I didn’t want to jeopardize the other gifts, OTO, or text message. I continue to speak with other marketers who had similar problems with their gifts. Some of them continue to receive rude emails from this marketer when they are trying to remove themselves from the situation.

Fast forward to today:
The giveaway is over. I made enough money from the OTOs to cover my upgrade. I ended up not getting any other income from this giveaway.

What I am I taking from this:
1. Looking at the zip versus pdf debate. Here is a great blog post by Keith Purkiss about your choices.
2. I am unsubscribing from all of this guy’s lists as soon as I finish this blog posting.
3. I will never enter another JV giveaway that has his name attached as a sponsor.
4. I will never get anything through another affiliate link that gives this guy a dime. I don’t pay to be disrespected.
5. I will attempt to treat each situation with respect for the people on the other side. Due to this, I have chosen not to smear the BIG marketers name all over this blog posting.
6. I had thought about running my own giveaway. Well, that is on hold.
7. When/If I do run a giveaway, I will outsource parts of it…including the helpdesk and gift approval. Perhaps people who are more experienced then I at being an admin of a JV event can do a better job – and those that I hire hopefully would be quite respectful on my behalf.

Word of mouth, and things on Web 2.0 are VERY powerful. People very infrequently post the positives that they have. Think about it. Go to Amazon – read some product reviews. Quite often they are negative since those are the people who want to get the word out. The people who have no problems seldom go back and say good things about it – since they have no reason to think twice about the product/service.
Be careful in what you do. You never know when your actions and words will have a long range effect. Treat all your customers with respect. It will benefit you in the long run. Give them more value than they expect. Treat them right and they will return to you respect and hopefully continue to do business with you!
